InDIGInous

/01
CHALLENGE

Our agency A14 is delighted to participate in social projects. One such project was inDIGInous - an immersive digital exhibition. inDIGInous is dedicated to the culture, history, and traditions of the indigenous people of Canada. The challenge assigned to our agency was not only the creation of the entire branding and identity of the event but also the creative planning of the exhibition plan, development of thematic workshops and entertainment activities at the exhibition, and preparation of documentation for the Aboriginal Affairs Committee, City Council of Toronto, and the Government of Canada.

/02
solution

First and foremost, our team found a partner for digitizing historical art objects and transforming them into compositions through large digital projections with the Italian brand VIRTUITALY, renowned for creating a sensational immersive digital exhibition dedicated to the Renaissance. After conducting a thorough study of the indigenous people's culture, following numerous workshops on this theme, our team created the entire branding and countless identity for the event. In collaboration with the inDIGInous team, we also developed a detailed day-by-day plan for activities at the exhibition.

Results

A complete branding was developed and designed for the exhibition, highlighting the beauty, uniqueness, and distinctiveness of the traditions of indigenous people of Canada. We also introduced numerous creative and technological solutions, aligning with modern requirements to create a 'wow' effect for exhibition visitors - such as touchless movement of digital objects around the venue, recreating and representing an indigenous village in virtual reality, and much more.

/final words

The inDIGInous exhibition was meant to be a truly unique event that Toronto and Canada would never forget. The exhibition was ready to welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors over the course of a week. Unfortunately, the exhibition dates coincided with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The virus had different plans not only for the inDIGInous exhibition but for the entire world. It saddens our team that Canada and the world did not get to witness the fruits of such immense live work.
